Below you'll find our Weekly Huatulco Weather Report. This is an amateur effort to give people an idea of what the weather is like here. It is of my personal perception of the weather and diving conditions over the last week and it is certainly not a prediction! Weather Report # 120. Week: 02 - 09 September 2007

Weather

Daytime highs: 29°C / 32°C (84°F / 90°F)

Minimum temperature: 24°C / 26°C (75°F / 79°F)

Most days it was sunny and dry this week. Tuesday morning it was cloudy and we had a few drops of rain. Thursday we had the remnants of Felix pass over, it was overcast and in the afternoon we had a big thunderstorm with a huge tropical downpour that lasted about 2 hours! We must have had at least 150mm (6 inches) of rain in an hour and half. After that it continued raining for along time, but it was very light rain. Friday was still overcast and it rained/drizzled on and off all day. Saturday it was nice and sunny again.

Hurricane Season

There was no tropical cyclone activity in our area this week.

We did have the remnants of Hurricane Felix pass by Huatulco, but it was no more than a low pressure system then. It did bring quite a bit of rain (see above).

Outside our area: By Tuesday Tropical Storm Henriette was upgraded to a hurricane and Wednesday it made landfall as a cat. 1 hurricane in Baja California.
