Diving Conditions
Ocean: Calm all week. Monday there was a bit of surge underwater.
Temperature: A nice 27°C (80°F / 82°F) on Monday, by Wednesday it was down to 24°C / 25°C (76°F) on the surface and only 22°C (72°F) underwater. Pretty "cold" for this time of the year. We had a thermocline most days and one day it was a mere 14°C (58°F) at a depth of 30m (100ft)! The coldest temperature we measured in 8 years here in Huatulco! What is the world coming to?
Visibility: Anywhere from 8m (25ft) on Monday at "La Montosa", to 12m to 15m (40ft / 50ft) on Thursday near Cacaluta Island, to maybe 5m (15ft) on Saturday at "El Chelo". In other words: very variable this week.
Ken saw a Whale Shark at "Morros Maguey", but guess what: it was gone when he finally managed to switch his camera on....
