Below you'll find our Weekly Huatulco Weather Report. This is an amateur effort to give people an idea of what the weather is like here. It is of my personal perception of the weather and diving conditions over the last week and it is certainly not a prediction! Weather Report # 137. Week: 30 December 2007 - 06 January 2008

Weather

Daytime highs: 30°C / 34°C (86°F / 94°F)

Minimum temperature: 21°C / 24°C (70°F / 76°F)

It was sunny and dry all week. The year started off very windy. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday we had a pretty strong wind and also wind gusts. The same days it also suddenly was a few degrees warmer.

Diving Conditions

Ocean: Calm, except for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, when we had quite a big swell out there. The port was closed those days, but inside the bays it was calm, so did some beach diving in Santa Cruz.

Temperature: Between 26°C and 28°C (78°F / 82°F). Nice and warm for the time of the year.

Visibility: Up and down this week. Sunday and Monday we had 10m / 12m (30ft / 40ft). Wednesday and Thursday we had approximately 3m and 8m (10ft / 25ft) respectively, off the beach in Santa Cruz. Friday we had up to 15m (50ft), but Saturday it was down to  less than 10m (30ft).

The hurricane season for  the East Pacific Region officially starts in May.
