It is of my personal perception of the weather and diving conditions over the last week and it is certainly not a prediction! Weather Report # 145. Week: 24 February - 02 March 2008

Weather

Daytime highs: 31°C / 32°C (88°F / 90°F)

Minimum temperature: 22°C / 23°C (72°F / 74°F)

It was dry and sunny this week. The beginning of the week it was a bit windy in the afternoons.

Diving Conditions

Ocean: Generally calm. Some afternoons it was a little choppy for a few hours.

Temperature: Between 24°C and 27°C (75°F / 81°F), a bit warmer towards the end of the week. We did have a thermocline Saturday, at about 20m (70ft), underneath it was a few degrees cooler.

Visibility: Around 8m (25ft) the beginning of the week, up to 15m (50ft) in the middle of the week and around 10m / 12m (30ft / 40ft) at the end of the week.

We saw Orcas again this week, the occasional Humpback Whale on the way back North, dolphins and leaping Devil Rays.

The hurricane season for  the East Pacific Region officially starts in May.
