Below you'll find our Weekly Huatulco Weather Report. This is an amateur effort to give people an idea of what the weather is like here. It is of my personal perception of the weather and diving conditions over the last week and it is certainly not a prediction! Weather Report # 143. Week: 10 - 17 February 2008

Weather

Daytime highs: 30°C / 32°C (86°F / 90°F)

Minimum temperature: 22°C / 23°C (72°F / 74°F)

It was sunny and dry all week. It was pretty windy last Sunday....

Early Tuesday morning we felt a pretty long tremor. Turned out there was a 6.4 earthquake close to the border of Oaxaca and Chiapas.

Diving Conditions

Ocean: Calm. Except last Sunday, when the port was closed.

Temperature: Between 24°C and 28°C (75°F / 82°F), depending on the site and the day. On one deep dive it was 21°C (70°F) at depth.

Visibility: Mostly around 10m to 12m (30ft / 40ft), but we had a couple of days with only 3m to 7m (10ft / 20) at certain sites.

Hurricane Season

The hurricane season for  the East Pacific Region officially starts in May.
