It is of my personal perception of the weather and diving conditions over the last week and it is certainly not a prediction! Weather Report # 143. Week: 10 - 17 February 2008

Weather

Daytime highs: 30°C / 32°C (86°F / 90°F)

Minimum temperature: 22°C / 23°C (72°F / 74°F)

It was sunny and dry all week. It was pretty windy last Sunday....

Early Tuesday morning we felt a pretty long tremor. Turned out there was a 6.4 earthquake close to the border of Oaxaca and Chiapas.

Diving Conditions

Ocean: Calm. Except last Sunday, when the port was closed.

Temperature: Between 24°C and 28°C (75°F / 82°F), depending on the site and the day. On one deep dive it was 21°C (70°F) at depth.

Visibility: Mostly around 10m to 12m (30ft / 40ft), but we had a couple of days with only 3m to 7m (10ft / 20) at certain sites.

Hurricane Season

The hurricane season for  the East Pacific Region officially starts in May.
