As a  professional Instructor you want to  stay  current  and  up  to  date.  A good way of doing that is continuing  your own  education,  not  only  as  a  diver  or  Instructor  but  also  in  area's like Diving Medicine,  the  Diving Industry,  Sales & Marketing and the Environment. We  offer many continuing education courses to make you an "all-round", professional Instructor. Below are descriptions of some or the courses that we offer  to help you achieve the goal that every Instructor should have;  to become a  PADI Master Instructor or even a Course Director. Each of those courses enhances your career and gives you a better opportunity to find employment in the dive industry.

PADI Specialty Instructor

Can you think of anything better than teaching your own favorite diving activity? Become a Specialty Instructor by taking the course from a Course Director. We will provide you with practical experience so you'll be able to conduct these courses yourself.confidently. You need minimum 5 Specialty Instructor ratings to apply for your PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer rating

Learning Medic First Aid can be fun!Emergency First Response Instructor:

As an EFR Instructor you can teach divers and non-divers the basic first aid skills including CPR, the use of an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) and oxygen equipment, as well as first aid for children. A must for every responsible Instructor.  We do the course in 1 or 2 days and you will practice all the skills, hands on,  while learning  how to teach this course. You'll go over the knowledge development portion (again) as well as the standards and procedures for the EFR Course. As an Instructor you can teach the Emergency First Response Course to divers and non-divers alike.

You will  practice all the skills and scenarios yourself with the proper DAN Oxygen Equipment and then practice the same acting as the Instructor. You go over the knowledge development part more in-depth than with the provider course and you'll learn the course standards. We all know how important DAN is, this is your chance to support them (and dive safety in general) by teaching as many divers as possible the Oxygen Provider Course.

DAN Oxygen First Aid for Aquatic Emergencies Instructor

The difference with the course above is that this course is not designed to teach scuba divers but anybody who is involved in aquatic activities like pool owners, boat crews, snorkel guides, swimming coaches, etc. YouŽll find a lot of parents interested in taking this course as well.

DAN First Aid for Hazardous Marine Life Injuries Instructor

Very interesting course to teach to anybody involved in activities at or near the ocean. You'll learn how to teach this course by practicing the skills yourself and demonstrations by the Instructor Trainer. In this course there is a knowledge development and standards portion as well.

PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer

This preparation program consists of  five PADI Specialty Instructor Courses  to  help  you  on  your  way  to becoming a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer. It's mostly diving but we will also go over the knowledge development portions of each course. Once you have issued 25 PADI Certifications you'll be able to apply for your MSDT rating the "easy" and cheapest way.

Learn how to teach InstructorsIDC-Staff Instructor:

You will either audit a complete IDC or give the complete range of presentations for the Assistant Instructor Course while being evaluated by our Course Director. You'll learn and practice to evaluate Instructor Candidates yourself and you'll learn the standards and procedures that apply to Instructor training. This course will give you a fresh look at the IDC and the PADI system and you will probably learn a lot more then you think! 

As a PADI IDC-Staff Instructor you are capable of assisting a Course Director and giving the presentations within the IDC or other Instructor Development programs and you are able to conduct the PADI Assistant Instructor Course independently.

IDC Preparation Program

In this Hurricane Divers program we take Open Water Divers up from Advanced Open Water Diver to the PADI Divemaster level so you can participate in an IDC, as long as you fulfill all the other prerequisites as well. ItŽs pretty intensive but it gets you where you want to be in a relatively short time.

The IDC Preparation Program takes about two weeks and includes the following PADI & DAN courses: Advanced Open Water Diver, Emergency First Response, Rescue Diver, Divemaster, Oxygen Provider and First Aid for Hazardous Marine Life Injuries.

GoPro!Hurricane Divers "Pro Package"

This package gives you better opportunities for a job as an Instructor, taking Divemasters up from Assistant Instructor to Instructor and preparing you for the Master Scuba Diver Trainer level. You can take all the courses mentioned below but youŽll still have to pass your Instructor Examination before you can apply for your Specialty Instructor ratings. To apply for the MSDT rating you need to get 25 PADI Certifications.

The Pro Package takes approximately three weeks and includes following PADI & DAN courses: IDC (Assistant Instructor and Open Water Scuba Instructor), Emergency First Response Instructor, 5 Specialty Instructor Courses, Oxygen Instructor and First Aid for Hazardous Marine Life Injuries Instructor.
