PADI U/W Photographer Specialty Course Details

Course Duration - 1 Day

Preparation / Self Study                                                                                    1 hr.

  • Read the U/W Photography Specialty Manual or the appropriate chapter in the Adventures in Diving Manual and complete the Knowledge Review

  • Watch the U/W Photographer Video (optional)

Knowledge Development                                                                             1 - 2 hr.

  • Review the Knowledge Review with your Instructor

  • Attend the Dive Briefings conducted by your Instructor

  • Attend Knowledge Development Presentation (if applicable)

Open Water Training                                                                                   4 - 5 hrs.

  • Conduct 4 Open Water Training Dives

Example Schedule

Without preparation and over 1 day. When you book with enough time in advance, we can get you the materials to prepare for the course. We are flexible and will adjust a schedule when appropriate. We will spend all the time with you, that is needed to complete a course.

  • First Day

  • 09:30 - 10:30 ---- knowledge development

  • 10:30 - 14:30 ---- 2 open water dives

Course Prerequisites

To qualify for the PADI U/W Photographer Specialty Course, an individual must:

  • Be certified as a PADI Open Water Diver (or have a rating equivalent to that of a PADI Open Water Diver)

  • Be 10 years of age or older
