PADI Night Diver Specialty Course Details

Course Duration - 1 to 2 Days

Preparation / Self Study                                                                                    1 hr.

  • Read the Night Diver Specialty Manual or the appropriate chapter in the Adventures in Diving Manual and complete the Knowledge Review

  • Watch the Night Diving Video (optional)

Knowledge Development                                                                                  1 hr.

  • Review the Knowledge Review with your Instructor

  • Attend the Dive Briefings conducted by your Instructor

Open Water Training                                                                                  6 - 8 hrs.

  • Conduct 3 Open Water Training Dives

Example Schedule

Without preparation and over 2 days. When you book with enough time in advance, we can get you the materials to prepare for the course. We are flexible and will adjust a schedule when appropriate. We will spend all the time with you, that is needed to complete a course.

  • First Day

  • 17:00 - 19:00 ---- knowledge development

  • 19:00 - 23:00 ---- 2 open water dives

  • Second Day

  • 18:00 - 19:00 ---- knowledge development

  • 19:00 - 21:00 ---- 1 open water dive

  • 21:00 - 21:30 ---- debriefing

Course Prerequisites

To qualify for the PADI Night Diver Specialty Course, an individual must:

  • Be certified as an Open Water Diver, Junior Open Water Diver or have equivalent ratings

  • Be 12 years of age or older
