PADI Scuba Diver Course Details

Course Prerequisites
To enroll in a PADI Scuba Diver Course, an individual must:
Be able to swim
Be at least 10 years old
If applicable, submit, to the instructor, medical clearance for diving signed by a physician, attesting to fitness to dive. The medical clearance must be current within the previous 12 months. The physician signing the medical clearance cannot be the applicant.
Note: a person under 15 years of age will be certified as a Junior PADI Scuba Diver

Course Prerequisites
To enroll in a PADI Adventure Diver Course, an individual must:
Be certified as a PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver or have an equivalent rating. "Equivalency" is defined as proof of an entry-level scuba certification with a minimum of four open water training dives.
Be at least 10 years of age to participate in the following Adventure Dives: AWARE - Fish Identification, Boat Diver, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Underwater Naturalist and Underwater Photography
Be 12 years of age or older to participate in all Adventure Dives
Note: a person under 15 years of age will be certified as a Junior Adventure Diver

Course Prerequisites
To enroll in a PADI Rescue Diver Course, an individual must:
Be certified as a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or have an equivalent rating. "Equivalency" is defined as proof of certification beyond entry level (at least two certifications total), and proof of 20 or more logged dives documenting experience in deep diving and underwater navigation.
Be 12 years of age or older
Note: to be certified as a PADI Rescue Diver, the student diver must have successfully completed a sanctioned course in CPR within the past 24 months. The PADI Emergency First Response Course is highly recommended and can be used to meet this requirement.
Note: a person under 15 years of age will be certified as a Junior Rescue Diver.

DAN Oxygen First Aid for Scuba Diving Injuries. This course is designed for certified divers and people otherwise involved with diving.
DAN Oxygen First Aid for Aquatic Emergencies. This course is designed for pool owners, boat crews, snorkel guides and other people otherwise involved with watersports other than scuba diving.
Note: retraining is highly recommended every two years, for both courses.
