EFR Instructor Training Course Details

Course Duration - 1 Day

Preparation / Self Study                                                                                       

• Read EFR Instructor Manual and answer Knowledge Reviews

Knowledge Development                                                                           3 - 5 hrs.

• Attend the EFR Instructor Course Presentations

• Complete EFR Instructor Exam

Skills Development                                                                                     3 - 5 hrs.

• Attend Teaching EFR Skills Workshop

• Teach skills from EFR Program

Example Schedule

Without preparation and over 1 day. When you book with enough time in advance, we can get you the materials to prepare for the course. We are flexible and will adjust a schedule when appropriate. We will spend all the time with you, that is needed to complete a course.

• 1 Day

• 09:30 - 13:00 ---- EFR course presentations

• 14:00 - 18:00 ---- skills workshop and exam

Course Prerequisites

To enroll in an EFR Instructor Training Course, an individual must:

• Be a PADI Divemaster (or PADI Member with higher rating)

or

• Have completed an IDC/OWSI Program within the past 12 months

and

• Have successfully completed a FIRST AID and CPR course

Note: To be certified as an EFR Instructor, an individual must:

• Have satisfactorily completed all course performance requirements.

• Submit to the appropriate PADI Office a completed application signed by the EFR Instructor Trainer who conducted the training along with a photo and processing fee

• Only renewed PADI Instructors and Divemasters may apply for EFR Instructor certification
